THINGS I AM LEARNING IN MY TWENTIES
This is a project about growing. Each phrase is taken out of a larger body of work and transplanted into a new context–on a public wall using live moss. By taking these phrases out of the author’s original context, they take on a new life with every human that chooses to interact with it. There is multiplicity in a single statement; each person that interacts with these words reads them through the filter of their personal experiences. In this way, each fragment of thought continues to grow with each person, in the same way that the live moss is growing.

A big thank-you to Marty Maxwell Lane for giving me the guidance and support to make this project happen. Also, thanks to Déa Self at Arsaga's at the Depot, Chris Dillard and Jared at Highroller Cyclery, and Hannah Withers at Maxine's Tap Room for allowing me to use their buildings and working with me in this process.
My name is Livvy Pierce and I am a student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, receiving a Studio Art BFA with an emphasis in Graphic Design. I enjoy graphic design because it allows for genuine connections and useful problem-solving. I also like reading good novels, being in the great outdoors, traveling, and petting dogs.
If you have questions, I would love to chat.
